About the event

Learn to see through the eyes of an artist, as local artist, Pamela Hodges Macatee, guides you through the fundamentals of oil painting in an 8-week course.

This course is suitable for complete beginners as well as those returning to the art. Over the next two months, you will learn about:

  • Materials and Equipment
  • Technique (Color, Composition, Light, Shape, and Drawing)
  • Subject Matter (Landscape, Still Life, and Interior)
  • Painting  Style (Realism, Impressionism, Post Impressionism, Symbolism, Expressionism, and Abstract... what are you drawn to?)
  • And more!

So, begin (or rediscover!) the art of painting in oils--even if you haven't picked up a paintbrush since childhood!
