About the event

Objective: Students will first tone their surface with a mixture of thinner and paint; then using a silicone shaper, carve out their design by removing paint. After a brief drying time, students will begin to apply color to their design to complete two paintings during the class; first being a pear and the second, a blue hydrangea with shading. Prior painting experience is helpful, however not required. Instructor will provide clear instructions to class as well as individual aid along with demonstrations. A fun class that is sure to excite your creative side!

Instructor will supply the following: paper towels, nitrile gloves, odorless thinner for underpainting and cleaning brushes and one 6x6 DaVinci Pro-Panel per student.

$45 class fee

Plus

$20 supply fee; supplies provided by Scrappy Shak:

• 1” silicone shaper

• Oil paints: Red Iron Oxide, Indian Yellow, Ultramarine Blue, Titanium White

• Filbert brush; sizes #11, #8, and #3
